Recipe Organizer App Update: My Recipe Book Planner Version 2.0 Adds Shopping Lists and a Smarter Meal Planner

Version 2.0 of My Recipe Book Planner, a recipe organizer app for iPhone and Android, has officially been approved and released, and it brings one of the most requested features to the app: a fully integrated Shopping List system connected directly to your recipes and meal planner. The goal of My Recipe Book has always been simple — make it easier to organize your recipes and actually use them in real life. Version 2.0 takes a big step toward that by connecting your recipe library, your meal plan, and your grocery list in one smooth workflow.

Integrated Shopping Lists

The new Shopping List feature is built directly into your recipe workflow. Instead of manually typing grocery items, you can now send ingredients straight from your recipes to your shopping list.

If you’re cooking a single dish, you can send the recipe’s ingredient list directly to the shopping list with just a tap. If you’re planning meals for the week, the meal planner can send everything to the shopping list at once. This makes grocery trips much faster and eliminates the hassle of writing out ingredients by hand.

Expanded Meal Planner

Version 2.0 also introduces a much more powerful meal planner. Instead of a simple list, you can now organize meals across the full day with dedicated sections for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. This gives you a clearer view of your entire week and makes it easy to build a full plan for the days ahead. Once your meals are set, you can send the ingredients directly to your shopping list in seconds.

Quick Add Recipe

Another major improvement in Version 2.0 is the new Quick Add Recipe feature. With Quick Add, you can turn a recipe title into a full structured recipe with just one tap. Instead of manually filling out every field, the app automatically builds the recipe so you can review, adjust, and save it instantly. This dramatically speeds up the process of saving recipes from the web, screenshots, or handwritten notes.

Built for Real Kitchens

My Recipe Book Planner was designed for people who actually cook — not for saving endless screenshots or bookmarking recipes you’ll never find again. Version 2.0 continues that mission by bringing your recipes, meal planning, and grocery lists together in one simple system that makes cooking easier every week. If you haven’t downloaded My Recipe Book Planner yet, now is the perfect time to get started and begin building your own organized recipe library.
